Welcome!

There are several mat materials out there, but there is no direct "original" replacement.  If you do a search on the forum you'll find all sorts of options to make your own.

Thanks fellows, will check out Roberts :)

He does but its not "stock"....no one makes an "original"...I plan on buying some matting and make my own

Mark, are there any pics around of the Roberts mat?

I don't know of any.  maybe if someone here that has one could post one?

I bought this floor mat several years ago through JC Whitney. You might try searching online with it's part number and might get lucky.

"Several could be 40"  are you telling me JC Whitney may still have mats for our Pilothouse Trucks?

Wow what a find!

Our mats have the pyramid pattern and are smooth on the perimeter. Those don't look like an original.

The mat I show above absolutely is not an OE MoPar mat. Believe me I have looked for many many years for my b-series dodge trucks as I have for my 1951-52 plymouths. I have been to so many swap meets ,dealerships closing down and searches via the USPS back in the days of doing it by mail.I have given up on ever finding an original NOS MoPar rubber floor mat for the trucks or P22-23 cars.

JC Whitney sold these 1948-53 DT mats back in the early 90's. I bought 4 of them. $35.00 each. They fit the trucks very nice. I thought it was a steal back then.

I actually know a guy who has access to the molds for the floor mats but the min order is in the hundreds

Lets get on that order! But I don't think too many people really care about having a stock floor mat

Bob

he asked if they'd run a "sample" of 6 or so and they declined....yes the ORIGINAL tools....makes me sad...

How long could it take them to set up and maybe sell a couple hundred floor mat sets at say $250 To  $300.00  each? Heck at least if they could make some money at it it would be better than none!  And yes we could have some OE new floor mats!

I don't know if that many people would drop that kinda of $$.....heck the spare tire carrier hardware I did is still not selling and that was way cheaper.

sorry DesotaDav, the truck is in the barn in Michigan, and we're in the valley(about 5 miles from Mexico) in Texas for the winter, just trying to tye up some loose ends during the winter months---but I did talk to a young lady at Roberts and she said to me that the mat is like the orginial, but you have to cut the slots for the pedals and shifter, the mat comes  with the backing pad, sells for $80.00 plus $25.00 freight anywhere in the USA---all the info I have at this point---Ken

as much as I like Gary Roberts and his business, I don't think his mats are an "original".  If someone here has a pic I'd be able to tell, but from what I've gathered from comments over the last two years they aren't a match to the original, as much as I wish they were.  These things are HUGE molds and most of the mats I've seen are just cut outs of an extruded plastic/rubber sheet, not a molded part with all the details the originals had, especially around the perimeter where it is flat/has no detail.

I bought them from Roberts but they came pre-cut for the pedals and steering column. It's seen about 3 years and they still look great for what they are non-original, pyramid rubber mats. In  hindsight, I would have reinforced the back of the mat with duct-tape at all penetrations.  Like any floor mats they do show some signs of wear and tear at those places.
