Merle Coggins Posted January 4, 2013 Report Posted January 4, 2013 Merle I saw 2.89 on my way home yesterday. Gotta make sure all the Minnesotans can drive to Green Bay to watch the pack lose again. Let 'em bring their money to Green Bay... they're gonna go home sad. Quote
Young Ed Posted January 4, 2013 Report Posted January 4, 2013 Here's one for you Merle. I really don't care about the game or football in general but had to give you a hard time. Quote
Merle Coggins Posted January 4, 2013 Report Posted January 4, 2013 I like that one, Ed. Here's another one for my neighbors to the south. Quote
Merle Coggins Posted January 4, 2013 Report Posted January 4, 2013 I saw this today and thought of you, Fred. If you're going to take those bikes out in this weather you may want to beef up the traction. What happens when you do a burnout on ice? See pic. Quote
1940plymouth Posted January 4, 2013 Report Posted January 4, 2013 Fred, glad that you had the Fargo out and about. Do they use salt on the roads up there? Down here the State and County have pure salt on the roads, while the town uses a mixture of four parts sand to one part salt Quote

Bobby I am wit ya , Good Buddy, I just love those dry days in late fall early spring sunny dry and 45-55, nice cruisin weather. Right now it's pretty mild up here for winter, and all the roads get sloppy with slush and salt, prefer it a little colder, then roads stay super dry, and did you know the colder it is, that ice is less slippery and salt has little effect, so than add sand and salt to mix...... thumbs up for "Dixieland" Quote

I know they add liquid to the mix so the stuff bight in to the frozen ice. The gravel roads were just fine, it was on the pavement , where I go salted up, but washed here all down the same night in the shop. When it's cold and dry, say temps 5 above and lower, nice driving no slush, even snow and ice packed is less slippery the colder it is.... Quote
