Dan Hiebert Posted December 19, 2012 Report Posted December 19, 2012 [quote name= Peda will have mixed emotions on this one. (a) fed outside free roaming in order to ( eat them! My dad is deheading and my brother and I are holding the next set, circa 1946.[/quote] The first week we lived in western New York in 2008, a chicken truck tumped over on "the 190" (I-190 through Buffalo). PETA, SPCA, etc. all scrambled to rescue the chickens. Once they were all gathered up, they took them all to a local farm veterenarian to ensure they were fit enough to continue their travel - to the slaughter house. Nothing was ever mentioned in the media about what they did with the ones that weren't fit. Not a statement one way or the other, I just happen to find that rather humorous. My Grandpa used to just grab them by their little heads, give them a spin and a flick, then laugh while my brother and I tried to catch the buggers running around - well - like chickens with their heads cut off Quote
Heavy Flat Head Posted December 22, 2012 Report Posted December 22, 2012 Been a long time since I have posted but I hope this meets with a smile. Before I retired I was a building inspector for a County Gov in Oregon. Here is one design based on 2007 codes I used for tree placement and landing strip for the jolly guy on my web site for X-mas. Wish all of you a very merry Christmas. Ed. Quote
Rodney Bullock Posted December 22, 2012 Report Posted December 22, 2012 There are so many I can't seem to pic one. I wish the weather was like that today. Quote

Mark D Posted December 23, 2012 Report Posted December 23, 2012 I didn't put as many miles on the old girl this year as I wished to, but the days I had her out were stunning. Quote
steveplym Posted December 24, 2012 Report Posted December 24, 2012 Went several places this year with the car. Have several destinations planned for 2013 already. Made trips to Jackson, TN, St. Louis, MO, Springfield, IL, and Jackson, TN this year. My favorite photo I took this year is heading north of Jackson cruising with a few friends. Nothing like a highway full of old cars. Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted December 26, 2012 Report Posted December 26, 2012 Since the Plymouth is still out of commission......no driving this year. So, I had fun attending the HAMB Drags which are held about 17 miles N of Joplin at the last of the summer. Got to visit with Denise and on the right is "Squirrel" (Jim Forbes) from Arizona. Also.....attended an evening doings this fall at a place in Bella Vista, Arkansas called Simple Pleasures Event Center.......where they had several nice antique cars on display. Including this DeSoto Airflow.................. And, Mary Ann and I did a little swing dancing at that place to a live band....... Quote
