46-48 Dodge/Plymouth rear fender trim

I hope I am not asking questions that have been covered in the recent past. I did check previous postings,....up to a point. I'd like to add trim to the rear fenders of my P-15.

I've discovered some D-24 pieces that have a raised ridge along their length. It visually matches the section of the main trim piece that goes the length of the Dodge body.

Question #1: On D-24's, are there diff. trim sections for 46, 47 & 48 Dodges? i.e. do some years have a raised detail and are some smooth?

Question #2: Did Canadian Dodges have this rear fender trim, either factory or dealer installed?

Question #3: Does anyone have any ideas for what other Dodge or Plymouth models might yield a suitable piece?

Question #4: Does anyone have any trim like this for sale?

I believe it is all the same for the D24's and IS what was installed by dealerships on the Plymouth to enhance appearance for improving Plymouth's corner of sales..I have a set on the D25 Town Sedan Special and also a floated set for installing on my P15...same items..finsing a substitute is something I have not lucked across yet and I keep an eye out for thid sort of thing while attending swap meets...I have none for sale..

I also have had another similar application that could use a similar length piece but not so raised and tapered..so in reality I have struck out so far all around for a substitute..

Canadian D25's did not have the rear fender trim factory installed. I have never seen any, and I have seen a lot of D25's, so I assume it was not dealer installed either.

If u don't need the raised profile, you can try Max Merritt auto. They work on Packards and make top bows for convertibles. They have 3 widths and 2 or 3 different ends. Profile is 1/2 round. $10 per foot and $10 per end. I bought 4 pieces for my '52 Wayfarer fenders. It will bend to the round surface of the fender without kinking.. www.maxmerrittauto.com. I like that link..I believe this will fill the bill for the piece of trim that is missing on my Pakard that is a "custom body built install" as it being a hearse. Thanks for posting..in my search for Packard stuff I had not come across this supplier.

They (whoever "they" are) say, as we age, it is healthy to continue to challenge our brains. Deciphering that chart was healthy for me,.... I guess, and I think I got it.
