ggdad1951 Posted October 24, 2012 Report Posted October 24, 2012 Mark;It is not a good idea. No matter how much you clean it. I have had several friends try this with disastrous effects. And once you run solvent based through it that gun is a solvent gun from then on. One of my buddies fought with this for quite a time and had to deal with more than one project that he had finish failure on. I don't know if you have had your gun completely apart but there are passages inside the handle which will get a build up over time. If you only spray water base this has little or no ill effects.....but the minute solvent hits it....the problem starts. Jeff huh haven't had any probelms yet....I've had mine completly apart....but I RARELY spray solvent based stuff. Quote
HanksB3B Posted October 24, 2012 Report Posted October 24, 2012 (edited) Here's the truck painted with Rustoleum I was referring to in post #25 0f this thread: http://www430.pair.com/p15d24/mopar_forum/showthread.php?t=34236 For $30/gal I thought it turned out real well although Tom (the owner) thinks it looks good from 10'. I've known a couple of women like that, and it never really bothered me... that much Hank Edited October 24, 2012 by HanksB3B Quote
