the car i bought had no rear glass, so i found one. now i need a gasket.

this is going to be a temp as i'm gonna pull the glass to repaint the car so i don't need a steele unit. just something to get the job done ASAP so i can drive it.

any suggestions?

Buy the steele unit and put it in dry. You will be able to reuse it after you painted.

Go to almost any glass installer that can cut and install auto glass and ask for a 2 piece rubber that matches the width for the body flange and the thickness of the glass. Way easier to install and remove but not stock for our cars. A tensioner piece pushes into the moulding to make it tight in the window frame. Do not put any type of sealers on it only a soap/water or silicone type lub.

Not the best to use the silicones if a paint job is in your near future!
