BobT-47P15 Posted October 18, 2012 Report Posted October 18, 2012 Maybe Sofseal........... If A Bernbaum has one, many people have had problems with the fit. Quote
Young Ed Posted October 18, 2012 Report Posted October 18, 2012 Buy the steele unit and put it in dry. You will be able to reuse it after you painted. Quote
JerseyHarold Posted October 18, 2012 Report Posted October 18, 2012 You might be able to find bulk glass gasket material at an auto body supply house. Quote
DJ194950 Posted October 19, 2012 Report Posted October 19, 2012 Go to almost any glass installer that can cut and install auto glass and ask for a 2 piece rubber that matches the width for the body flange and the thickness of the glass. Way easier to install and remove but not stock for our cars. A tensioner piece pushes into the moulding to make it tight in the window frame. Do not put any type of sealers on it only a soap/water or silicone type lub. Not the best to use the silicones if a paint job is in your near future! Best Doug Quote
