JIPJOBXX Posted September 22, 2012 Report Posted September 22, 2012 This picture is taken of a friends 1942 Bussiness Coup Engine and as you can see its almost perfectly original! When I look at mine I can only dream that my engien would ever look like this! But it great just to have a friend who owns the same year car that I have but his is a piece of art! Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted September 22, 2012 Report Posted September 22, 2012 Jon.....you can make yours look real good with some Por 15 brand Por 20 high heat aluminum and a 1 or 2 inch brush for the block.....then some nice black for the accessories. Not all so hard to do....just takes time. Quote
Rusty O'Toole Posted September 22, 2012 Report Posted September 22, 2012 You can get a finish like those black parts using spray bombs. You have to spray 2 thin coats of black, let it dry, wet sand, then 2 more coats. Do this 2 or 3 times and you get a beautiful finish. Finally wax it to preserve the shine. Yes a lot of work but does not have to cost a lot of money. Quote
greg g Posted September 22, 2012 Report Posted September 22, 2012 pretty but not correct. Would loose points at POC judging. Quote
