Specialdeluxe47 Posted July 24, 2012 Report Posted July 24, 2012 I have looked at old Threads and found where Dave Kruse at (Metal Rubber Corp) had made the replacements in the past but when I tried to email him at the address listed but it was rejected. I have a 1947 Plymouth Special Deluxe 4 door sedan and need to replace the rubber sway bar bushings. Some are missing and the rest is torn. Does anyone know where I can purchase them? Quote
suntennis Posted July 24, 2012 Report Posted July 24, 2012 Maybe Dave Kruse cannot be reached, but the last phone number I have for him as of Feb,2012 is 909-239-7932. He did make the bushings you need. The email address is krusn64@aol.com . Hope these work. Dave is a great guy and if you contact him I think he will help you. Quote
Specialdeluxe47 Posted July 24, 2012 Author Report Posted July 24, 2012 Thanks I will give him another try. Quote
msawdey44 Posted July 25, 2012 Report Posted July 25, 2012 Try an eBay search--they show up from time to time, from a couple of different suppliers. I have also seen urethane versions offered. Quote
Frank Elder Posted July 25, 2012 Report Posted July 25, 2012 Try an eBay search--they show up from time to time, from a couple of different suppliers. I have also seen urethane versions offered. Rubber wears out quicker but it gives you have a gentler ride......urethane lasts longer gives a stiffer ride......and it squeaks.....very annoying. Quote
Jerry Roberts Posted July 25, 2012 Report Posted July 25, 2012 If you don't have any luck elsewhere , try Rare Parts in Stockton , Ca . Their prices are a little high . Quote
