Does anyone know if and/or where I can get a replacement press on contact for the brake light socket? Thanks in advance! Todd Bracik.

I have used these people in the past with good luck on wiring supplies...

http://www.riwire.com/

I have also heard good things about The Brillman Company.

If I am understanding what you are asking about, I bought some universal dual contact sockets from the local auto parts place and stole the contacts with the attached wires out of them to replace the rotted ones in my dash lights. I think the same would work for the brake / tail light sockets. The only problem is I don't like having a splice in the wires...but it will work for now until I order another round of wiring supplies.

I once tried using some hollow brass rivets soldered to the end of the wire to make new lamp socket contacts. It worked. But if appearance is not an issue (under the dash, etc.) then a good soldered splice to a wire connected to a real lamp contact is a very good option.

Thanks guys! This helps a lot! I found a 50's brake light and was able to dissect the needed parts from it. I'm using the contacts and welded on the replacement cylinder base so the bulb would fit. The original bulb only had one filament and i wanted 2.
