desoto1939 Posted April 3, 2012 Report Posted April 3, 2012 The original Derham body work building is still being used to see cars. The building is located on Lancaster Ave in Bryn Mawr PA. This is US route 30. The current building is now a Ferrai dealership. My brother inlaws company was doing a face lift on this building a couple of years ago. Some of the Derham body builders also did work for the Wolfington Coach builders that also built custom bodied cars in Philadelphia. My 1939 Desoto was originally sold to the Wolfington DeSoto Dealership on Chestnut Street in Phialdelphia. They current great grandson is now running the Wolfington Bus Company that is located in exton Pa. I have met the great grandson and showed him the history of my 39 Desoto and the factory build sheet that I was able to get from the Chrysler Historical Museum. It is a very small world in the auto collecting hobby. Rich Hartung Desoto1939@aol.com Quote
