The place where the two chrome trim parts meet should have a little piece, where do I find the two? I have been calling around and just cant sem to find them. Would the peice from a ford fit?

Here is a picture of the front windsheild stainless steel trim clips.

They are not the same as a P15.

Larger then the molding itself, they have a tab on top and curl underneath the trim on the bottom.

Hope that helps.

Rodney..supply and demand and the ultimate answer is how long have you been looking and what is it worth to you to have the car back to a finished look...if you think it is too high..then by your appraisial they are just that, overpriced...how long do you wish to hold out and continue your search and what are the possibilites of these going lower..if you found these itmes on the e-bay the sad part is that the last selling price is often the opening price for the next available set..

I paid $50+ shipping from an e bay seller a few months ago.

$50 sounds like the "market" price at this time.

There seems to be more supply of the moldings then there is of the clips.

The moldings are useless without the clips.

So there would be a premium for a set of clips only.

For those who purchased their cars for $50 in the 1950's the clips seem high priced!

For those painstakingly restoring a vehicle they are worth the $50. My biggest concern would be "are they the correct clips?"

The top and bottom are different and there are different sizes and styles right through the 40's.

$50 for the correct clips seems about par for the course.

The more troubling trend is the increasing cost of parts while the value of "good" original cars is dropping. The cost to restore to original is steep and at the same time a "hot rodded" vehicle sells for more and has a larger market.

Restoring and maintaining original vehicles is more of a passion then a finacially reasonable formula.

The price they want is 125.00 To me that seems like a call from a person locked up in a asylum. I hope he gets it because he won't get it from me. This looks like someone taking cold advantage of a mopar lover. I will make some before I throw good money away like that, The nerve of some people. This is a well known Mopar dealer that is at Carlise.
