1940plymouth Posted February 14, 2012 Report Posted February 14, 2012 My Grandfather Drown bought a new 1937 Plymouth, it was the car my Father learned how to drive with Quote
Rodney Bullock Posted February 14, 2012 Report Posted February 14, 2012 I wonder if they have a cool commercial like that for the 1940 Plymouth:) Quote
1940plymouth Posted February 14, 2012 Report Posted February 14, 2012 I wonder if they have a cool commercial like that for the 1940 Plymouth:) A couple of years ago there was a film that Chrysler made with the '40 Plymouth for the 1939-'40 World's Fair on youtube. It was very intersting, but I haven't been able to find it lately Quote
mach0415 Posted February 14, 2012 Report Posted February 14, 2012 This video is way too cool! I wish modern ads for cars and trucks went this far to show prospecting owners this much. Great work digging up this footage. Quote

If anyone does lay hands on that 40 plymouth commercial, I'd love to see it too...what color is that red in the bumper inserts and hood emblem-what did a new interior look like-how was the trunk emblem colored in-did the tail lights have the flush or extended glass bulb lenses-were the front and rear wing windows black or chrome framed...oh man, I could just go on with them! Chester Brzostowski Posted February 20, 2012 Report Posted February 20, 2012 Hi, Mark. Nice video thanks for posting. This is the first time I saw this one. It sounds like the same announcer that did the 39 worlds fair video. Chet... Quote
