Matt Wilson Posted January 21, 2012 Report Posted January 21, 2012 I bought a coolant temperature sending unit from him about 8 or 9 years ago, for my '49 Dodge Power Wagon 230 flathead engine. I don't recall the price, but I remember thinking that it was reasonable. Best of all for me, I live in the area, so his shop is just a hop, skip and a jump away. Quote
MarcDeSoto Posted January 21, 2012 Report Posted January 21, 2012 That's a terrific Youtube of this place! Looks like a restorer's dream store. Does he do all his business in the store or does he have a catalog and ship? Looks like you just call and ask for parts and he checks his inventory. Quote
bamfordsgarage Posted January 22, 2012 Report Posted January 22, 2012 We stopped in at Antique Auto Parts last April. Posts 48-51 in this thread illustrate and describe our visit: http://www430.pair.com/p15d24/mopar_forum/showthread.php?t=26625 Quote
hkestes41 Posted January 22, 2012 Report Posted January 22, 2012 I bought a "new" OD Solenoid from him. He had a box full and brought them all out and we went through them one by one until we found what I needed. $70 he said "run it for a few weeks and if it aint workn right bring it back and we'll get ya another one." While I was there they had a couple people working behind the counter that took several phone calls. Each time the caller obviously asked for a particular part, his worker bees would ask do we have such and such, he would answer yes then tell them exactly where it was building, rack and shelf without ever getting off the stool where he was helping me. He is setting on hundreds of thousands of dollars, but you would never know it looking at him. Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted January 22, 2012 Report Posted January 22, 2012 I met the owner at the Springfield, MO swap meet year before last. A real nice, older fellow. I think maybe his daughter helps run the business, too. Yes, I've seen the video.......and I'd agree, he's got tons and tons of stuff. Quote
