was wondering if anyone had any info on 1942 dodge 3 window coupes, i'm in the works of picking up a rough but complete 3 window, doesn't appear to be missing much, floors are rotted out but thats about it, it is also missing the back window, is that a curved or flat piece of glass?? i love the looks of the old 3 windows, and hope to make a killer hot rod out of it, if i can pull the iron out of a few other fires!! thanks again and hope to hear back from yall!

I have a 48 Dodge 3 window coupe. The rear window for mine is:

Part type code 23-64-314, part # 892 819. That is for a '46 to '48 D24 coupe.

The roofs sure look the same on the 41 and 42 Dodge 3 window coupes, as well as on the Chrysler Royal 3 window coupes, although I do not have any references to check the numbers.

Unfortunately all of these models are somewhat rare so finding a good back glass will probably be difficult.

I own a 42 Dodge Bidnessmans Coupe. The overall dimensions of the curved rear window are approx. 43.5" x 13.5"

Thanks Uncle-Pekka.

The photo was taken at one of my favorite reservoirs here in Grass Valley,CA.

We were checking on the water lever for a future launch of this rig.

I think they made a little over 5000 of the 42 3 windows. I've been looking for a front bumper since 2004 without much luck.

The bodies, now I am talking bare body from the firewall back minus doors, fenders, deck etc, of all the Chrysler product lines were the same from 1942-1948. Now let me clarify further, the Plymouth was different from the Chrysler Dodge Desoto line. So your rear light, glass, will be the same as any 1942-1948 Chrysler Dodge Desoto of the same body style.
