I made a steering wheel puller from two horseshoes. I cut a space out of each to slip over the column, one from each side to make a circle. I pre drilled two holes so i could bolt them together after the were under the steering wheel. I cut 4 pieces of radiator hose, and cut lengthwise to cover the shoe and protect the steering wheel. I used a 3 leg puller connected to the shoe and tightned. One tap with a rubber hammer and it came off. Cost is $000 unless you buy a horse. I will try to attach pictures.

Thanks for the comments. Just for a note I used a round shoe used on a Quater Horse, most people that have horses should have some laying around. If someone need a set I will make another one.

I enjoy getting tips from club members so it was my turn.

Very timely, I need to pull mine from the steering shaft and I was wondering how to tackle it. Now I need to see what I can use as a substitute for horse shoes (I dont have a horse)...

what have others used for this application
