AJ Johnson Posted April 10, 2007 Report Posted April 10, 2007 Actually acorns. I needed some room in the garage to work on a couple of 4-wheelers for my boss and had to park the Coronet in the driveway for 3-4 days. When I got the car back in the garage, I popped the hood for some reason (can't really recall why) and to my surprise there is a nice pile of acorns & shells sitting on top of the head. It appears one of the local squirrels felt it would be an appropriate place dine. I am just glad he didn't end up in my garage or caugt up in the fan when I started the old girl up. AJ Quote
Don Coatney Posted April 10, 2007 Report Posted April 10, 2007 Perhaps the critter liked his nuts roasted and toasty warm. Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted April 10, 2007 Report Posted April 10, 2007 AJ, maybe you need to get them one of these squirrel diners........... About 5 miles from where I grew up, in the town of Marionville, MO, they have a population of white squirrels. Been there for years. Evidently they are not found in very many places. (or maybe they are, and i just don't know it.) Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted April 10, 2007 Report Posted April 10, 2007 I have seen but one white squirrel in my life...Columbia SC,at the golf course my father-in-law was a member..what a meal, tree rat and rice. Quote
Brad Lustig Posted April 10, 2007 Report Posted April 10, 2007 My dad grew up on squirrel. I've never tried it, but he always said they're really good. They taste a little like bald eagle, I'm told. Quote

1just4don Posted April 10, 2007 Report Posted April 10, 2007 I was trying to copy the white squirrel picture to somebody that LOVES squirrels and thinks they are one. Then I tried taking a picture from MY pictures stored on my puter and post HERE since it is pertinent. Neither one worked,no matter what I tried, Obviously I am not as smart as my puter. Anybody have a clue for me of what to do??? Quote
teardrop puller Posted April 10, 2007 Report Posted April 10, 2007 I saved the photo to my hard disk with the right click thing. kai Quote
eric wissing Posted April 10, 2007 Report Posted April 10, 2007 Here in Western Iowa we have red squirrels. I found one on the ground two years ago, sleeping in my brush pile. He must have been knocked out of his nest. I bent a peice of tin to make a shelter and he survived. I can tell it is him because when I open my back door 10 other squirrels will go running off and heads towards me. He scares the crap out of our cats. Near the Omaha Airport there is a large group of black squirrels. I have never seen a white though. Eric Quote
