Is thisa 46-48 Mopar Speaker, does anyoen happen to know, it was laying in the trunk of a 48 Chrysler, we were parting tonight....

Wrong one Fred, The Chrysler/MoPar speaker has a receptacle for the radio cord to plug onto the speaker.

That is from a later year. The size of the magnet it the tell tale sign. I just replaced the speaker in "Bonnie" with a current speaker. I used the original location and grill in the center of the dash. I had to build and adapter for it as they no longer make speakers that are that big AND round. It worked out great. unless you get under the dash you would never know that it was not original.
