hillbilly4008 Posted May 31, 2011 Report Posted May 31, 2011 1950 Dodge Coronet, 36k miles, runs and drives for $2300 Some one has to grab this thing! (no, its not mine, and I do not know the seller) http://syracuse.craigslist.org/cto/2409927113.html Located 20minutes from my shop, I could go take a look at it if someone needs me to. Quote
Big_John Posted May 31, 2011 Report Posted May 31, 2011 C'mon Shel.. It's only money... You can't take it with you. Quote
hillbilly4008 Posted May 31, 2011 Author Report Posted May 31, 2011 says price is negotiable. I don't think he knows what this is worth. John, NO, I have enough projects! Quote
RobertKB Posted May 31, 2011 Report Posted May 31, 2011 Wives can be pretty forgiving. I got the "real" no more after 4 vehicles but was told no more the first time after two. Shel, you gotta go check it out. The last car I bought was a complete '41 Dodge (Canadian model) for $1000. Seller was originally asking $3500. Go check that Dodge out! Quote
Joe Flanagan Posted June 1, 2011 Report Posted June 1, 2011 Just sent the link to my next door neighbor. He's been looking for a car project for him and his 11-year-old son to get into. Don't know if he'll bite or not. Quote
oldmopar Posted June 1, 2011 Report Posted June 1, 2011 Maybe 136,000 interior looks a little worn. As to wives and old cars its always best not to tell her until its in the driveway that way you have something to do while she is mad. As you can see from my signature line I speak from experience Quote
RobertKB Posted June 1, 2011 Report Posted June 1, 2011 As to wives and old cars its always best not to tell her until its in the driveway that way you have something to do while she is mad. As you can see from my signature line I speak from experience Been there and done that and it usually works especially if you tell your wife that I am just going to flip it to make some money. Usually ends up a pretty slow flip. "I guess I am stuck with it" is the last line. Wives won't usually leave over an old car. They may be annoyed but that is about it unless you are really spending money you don't have which is different story. Quote
Joe Flanagan Posted June 1, 2011 Report Posted June 1, 2011 Or if you spend all your time sitting out in the old car drinking, that could be a problem, too. My wife loves the old car and the fact that I'm working on it but if I ever have to defend it, I plan to point out that I could be doing MUCH worse things with my time and money. Quote
hillbilly4008 Posted June 2, 2011 Author Report Posted June 2, 2011 Hows about another one? Here is a '51 Windsor for $2000 in Hudson Falls http://www.wantaddigest.com/forsale/item201x.asp?&adclass2=Classic%20Cars&headsub=1951%20WINDSOR&category=Classic*Chrysler&onlineid=AWISR09&adid=A00002 Quote
DLK Posted June 3, 2011 Report Posted June 3, 2011 Just sent the link to my next door neighbor. He's been looking for a car project for him and his 11-year-old son to get into. Don't know if he'll bite or not. What a great project for father and son. It's not a sexy car or one to bring back for a profit but just think when you go to the local (or national) show you won't find many like it. Quote
Don Coatney Posted June 3, 2011 Report Posted June 3, 2011 Gotta love it. The car runs and drives but needs minor brake work. Problem should be an easy fix. Simply give the brake pedal a minor pull to bring it back up to the top. Quote
