I have had all my other flatties out on the road so far this year but this was the first time for the '38 Chrysler. The car is shown parked infront of the big trees in my front yard. Sure ran well and was a pleasure to drive after 6 long months. Weather is supposed to be really nice all week so will drive it some more. Next project is to put some old amber fog lights I bought on the front as signal lights to replace the little motorcycle ones there presently.

We have a couple of similar pine trees next to the driveway. sunday afternood I decided to wash the car, Got it done and dried, ad in the time it took me to put some tire spooge on there was so much pollen from those trees, that my was job was rendered nearly usless.

Had to pull it in the garage and go over it with the cali duster. Will need to do the whole thing with final detail if I decide to do any cruise ins. Was nearly tempted to get the chain saw out.

Greg,

Leave the chainsaw in the shed or you'll just end up "Coatney-izing" an otherwise beautiful car.

I am not the chainsaw weilding mechanic. That title belongs to forum member Christopher. I just posted the picture he sent me.

Thanks for the compliment.

That is an amazing car...very jealous

Thanks, I appreciate your nice words. It did not always look like that and it was a 19 year project to complete it. Nearly gave up a couple of times when the kids were young and no money. I guess perseverance does pay off. Here it is shortly after I bought it. It had no engine at the time.

I also added another picture showing its present condition. These old girls can be pretty rough but can turn heads when finished. If I can do it, anyone can.
