greg g Posted March 21, 2011 Report Posted March 21, 2011 Hey Don, sometimes I am that jerk trying to cut in line..............In PA lately there are signs about 1.5 miles back from where the merge starts directing you to alternate, and leave the closed lane before you get to the 1/2 mile marker and there is usually a cop sitting facing oncoming traffic at the 1000 foot spot. It actually has seemed to work, there are a lot few stop and goes, and traffic flows smoothly through the lane closure. In light of the fact that I don;t have a partical beam disrupter in my hood ornament I like the Pa system. Quote

Went to many air shows and we even held a ww2 themed swing dance every Sunday at the 56th Fighter Group Restaurant...which went downhill as a restaurant VERY quickly...eventually they canceled us without notice on new years eve ball...and we had quite a few people standing around wondering what happened. ANYWAY...I wish we had a tank in the shop. Lucky. Quote

I bought the ticket for my WW2 Vet pal...but he wouldn't go in. He said he'd been in one before and it wasn't that special...hahahaha. He wanted me to experience it. What a guy. He flew at the end of the war and during the air lift. After the war and up untill about 20 years ago he was an aerial photographer and loved flying his 50 something Piper. He is known as Captain Blackie (black sheep), and still has quite a reputation for being untameable. At almost 90 years old he still goes out dancing and knows how to talk to the ladies. It works to.
