1940plymouth Posted March 12, 2011 Report Posted March 12, 2011 My heater core finally gave up the ghost, so I took the heater out of the "Wayback Machine" last evening, took it all apart and have an email to Dave at Fat Fendered Relics to see if he has one. MOPAR Deluxe heater and the pipes measure 5 1/4 inches outside to outside. Now the hunt begins, although not as much fun as driving the "Wayback Machine" the hunt is fun also:) Quote

Young Ed Posted March 12, 2011 Report Posted March 12, 2011 Bob I think I have one of those heaters but who knows if my core is any better. If it helps I think its the same core as the model 36 heaters they used post war Quote
1940plymouth Posted March 12, 2011 Author Report Posted March 12, 2011 Thanks Ed, Did you get the private message I sent early this morning about the wedding ad? Quote
Young Ed Posted March 12, 2011 Report Posted March 12, 2011 Sure did. What are your thoughts on a used heater core? Quote
1940plymouth Posted March 12, 2011 Author Report Posted March 12, 2011 I am willing to take a gamble I have attached a photo of what my heater looks like, I looked for a model # and other information, but was unable to find anything Quote
1940plymouth Posted March 14, 2011 Author Report Posted March 14, 2011 A fellow of member of the Hudson Valley POC contacted me yesterday, he has a heater for me. I'll meet him tomorrow in Kerhonkson to pick it up. Forty dollars and it works, can't complain on my behalf:) If the roads are dry, he is going to drive his '49 Plymouth convertible and I'll take the "Wayback Machine" Quote
P-12 Tommy Posted March 14, 2011 Report Posted March 14, 2011 Another happy ending to a thread! Tom Quote

rockable Posted April 6, 2011 Report Posted April 6, 2011 I don't have any extra parts. I don't even know if mine works, yet. AutoFair is this weekend. I'll bet you could find what you need there..........if you've got the time and stamina to look. Quote
