aero3113 Posted February 23, 2011 Report Posted February 23, 2011 All Mopar! http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Plymouth-Pick-Up-1940-PT-105-Pickup-Street-Rod-/250774929237?pt=US_Cars_Trucks&hash=item3a6359bf55#v4-42 Quote
Reg Evans Posted February 23, 2011 Report Posted February 23, 2011 I don't care for the proportions with the chopped top and it appears that he has raised the bed up higher off the frame than original. Oh well, at least it's got a MoPar engine. I'd sell it if I owned it too. Sorry aero3113......to each their own. Quote
Young Ed Posted February 23, 2011 Report Posted February 23, 2011 Reg it does appear that there is more room between the top of the fender and the top of the box. However the front of the box looks about the same to that body line. Its certainly been messed with somehow. My 40 plymouth might have the box raised like that because I want to use the military spare tire mount I bought. Quote
Dave72dt Posted February 23, 2011 Report Posted February 23, 2011 Box change may be an illusion. Lowering the truck and adding the rear valance makes it look taller. Quote
Reg Evans Posted February 23, 2011 Report Posted February 23, 2011 Maybe but look at the side view of Ed's truck and draw a line from the bottom of the door to the bottom of the stake pocket. Now do the same with this truck. The bottom of Ed's stake pocket appears to be an inch or two below the bottom of the door edge and the yellow one's stake pocket bottom appears to be higher than the door bottom. Quote
