Robert Horne Posted January 9, 2011 Report Posted January 9, 2011 Found this engine on ebay...... IND........ Has a different exhaust.... Quote
41/53dodges Posted January 9, 2011 Report Posted January 9, 2011 this engine has come up on here many times, just search dual exhaust. that exhaust is kinda a homemade modification, as it is upside-down in the picture. they are normally stack with updraft carb. Quote

No it is not, it is an industrial engine IND, oilfields, pumps, generators..etc. That exhaust is just as mother mopar wanted it. It fits what ever application it was ordered for. Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted January 9, 2011 Report Posted January 9, 2011 On those industrial engines, often times the exhaust pipe stuck up and out to the side as opposed to a car or truck where it went down and to the rear. Hence manifold outlets in different places. Quote
austinsailor Posted January 10, 2011 Report Posted January 10, 2011 And notice the fuel pump is not located on the block as in a vehicle. Quote

Frank Elder Posted January 10, 2011 Report Posted January 10, 2011 Look a little closer yourself, it is obiviously a one piece CAST manifold with a machined mating surface. Quote
Young Ed Posted January 10, 2011 Report Posted January 10, 2011 For industrial applications I bet they put the output on either end depending on where it fit and then blanked off the other one. Certainly a lot different looking then the car/truck ones but I doubt homemade. Quote
