When we can find new parts here ok.When can't we change the Dodge worn worms shackle and put a new from Jeep.In the pics we see a new hand made shackle.:)

I expect all moving parts on these OLD trucks to show some wear. Gradually over a period of time and recommended lubrication didn't always happen. Repairing and restoring gives us a glimpse back in time of how they were when new. Bringing history back to life.

I'd be a bit hesitant to use a cast spring shackle. Too brittle a material for that application. Forged would be best but I guess a high quality welded fabrication with appropriate heat treating to anneal it could be safe.
