jasonfroehlich Posted November 22, 2010 Report Posted November 22, 2010 Hello Guys, I am still easly making progress on my 1949 dodge b-1 truck I pulled the clutch disc and looks to measure like 11" doe's this sound right? I also have a 53 dodge engine and it measure's 10" and has less bolts in the pressure plate that holds it. Can someone tell me I think I would rather have the bigger clutch disc but where can I get this and what do I need to ask for/size is it 11"? Thanks agian Jason Quote
jasonfroehlich Posted November 22, 2010 Author Report Posted November 22, 2010 Also its a three speed tranny!!! Quote
bkahler Posted November 22, 2010 Report Posted November 22, 2010 My 51 B3B has an 11" clutch disc from the factory. Vintage Power Wagons in Iowa was able to supply a replacement. Brad Quote
Merle Coggins Posted November 22, 2010 Report Posted November 22, 2010 I believe the 10" clutch was standard and an 11" clutch was an option, unless you got a 4 speed and then it automatically got an 11" clutch. I believe the general consensus here is that Tennessee Clutch is the place to go to for your clutch work. Several here have used them with great success and very reasonable prices. Mr. Coatney has their number, or search the forum for other clutch threads and you'll probably find it. I used a local shop for my clutch work. They sent it out to Fort Wayne Clutch. It was also good work, but at a much higher cost than has been reported here from Tenn. Clutch. Merle Quote
Don Coatney Posted November 22, 2010 Report Posted November 22, 2010 (edited) I just sent a note to GTK asking if this could be added to the links section on the main webpage supporting this forum. Edited November 22, 2010 by Don Coatney Quote

shannont Posted November 27, 2012 Report Posted November 27, 2012 I used Tennessee Clutch to have my clutch rebuilt (51 dodge). I am very pleased. Quality work and it was done quickly. I recommend them. Quote
John-T-53 Posted November 27, 2012 Report Posted November 27, 2012 I liked my experience with Tennessee Clutch because they can supply parts based on description, not just make and model like everywhere else. Quote
