BobT-47P15 Posted November 16, 2010 Report Posted November 16, 2010 I know not everyone will think this is cool, but someone is having this car built by a shop. First class work is being done. The car will be mostly stock in appearance with certain mods including a Viper V10 engine. Posting llink for anyone interested in looking: http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=531591 Quote
48P15Annie Posted November 16, 2010 Report Posted November 16, 2010 That's a neat looking build, I like the look and concept... However...IMO, that car is too rare to do that too. It should be restored to original. Maybe they could have picked a Windsor or or something. Not a Town & Country... Quote
Young Ed Posted November 16, 2010 Report Posted November 16, 2010 Will be a fun ride. Looks like their wasnt much left to restore. Of course if you can rod it you could have restored it too. I wonder if thats the one I saw for sale way back that had 0 wood left with it. Was in a junkyard and they were still asking 15K for it. Quote
falconvan Posted November 16, 2010 Report Posted November 16, 2010 Wow; that guy has more $$$$ than I ever dreamed of! Outstanding work but a little out of my league. Maybe someday....... Quote
Niel Hoback Posted November 16, 2010 Report Posted November 16, 2010 I guess if you can't have one completely stock, that's the way to go. Gonna make a fantastic ride. Quote
PatS.... Posted November 16, 2010 Report Posted November 16, 2010 Another Mopar woodie by the same shop. http://hotrodsandhobbies.net/webgallerys/0510/Vaughan%20%2739%20Woodie/vaughan_39_home.html Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted November 16, 2010 Author Report Posted November 16, 2010 (edited) That one appears to be completely stock......as original. You can see another woodie or two in the background of the pics. Guess this shop is no stranger to that type of vehicle. Edited November 30, 2010 by BobT-47P15 Quote
P-12 Tommy Posted November 17, 2010 Report Posted November 17, 2010 I'd be nice to have an unlimited supply of cash! Tom Quote
PatS.... Posted November 17, 2010 Report Posted November 17, 2010 As for the T&C...I'll take modified to THIS anyday. (yes, they still crush T&C's ) Quote
falconvan Posted November 17, 2010 Report Posted November 17, 2010 That hurts to look at that picture! Someone should have thrown themselves in front of the crusher to save it. Quote
1lowdown Posted November 28, 2010 Report Posted November 28, 2010 As for the T&C...I'll take modified to THIS anyday. (yes, they still crush T&C's ) at least save the tail lights and bumpers Quote
PhilJohnson Posted November 29, 2010 Report Posted November 29, 2010 at least save the tail lights and bumpers That's the stupid scrapper way. I've seen plenty of easily restored 50s and earlier cars sent to the scrap yard I've saved a few, like a 53 Packard I drove home. Guy was going to scrap it Quote
47droptop Posted November 30, 2010 Report Posted November 30, 2010 Bob, the car is real cool. I am also going to run a v10 in my convertible but it's the truck version, still lots of engine for the car. [/img][/img] Quote
chopt50wgn Posted November 30, 2010 Report Posted November 30, 2010 at least it's going to be all Mopar ..........and one hell of a sleeper!! Quote
47droptop Posted December 1, 2010 Report Posted December 1, 2010 I'm excited to build the car ...it'll be the only v10 powered rod on the road in this city. Pretty much my dream car build! Quote
