fedoragent Posted September 18, 2010 Report Posted September 18, 2010 Folks, The hot rodders that had my car before me made the unwise decision of shaving and mig welding all of the holes on the Plymouth. Does anyone have a picture of the rear of their coupe so that I can figure out where the trunk handle, license plate holder and 3rd brake light should be. Also, if someone has the pictures of the INSIDE of the trunk lid that would be appreciated. I'm also looking for pictures of the under side of the hood so that I can figure out where the holes WERE to put them back so that I can have my trim on the hood and the ornament. Lord help the hot rodders if I get a hold of them in person that did this to such a classic. Thanks, FG. Quote
RobertKB Posted September 19, 2010 Report Posted September 19, 2010 Here's the trunk of a Canadian Dodge D25 which is the same as a P15 Plymouth but with Dodge trim. The tail lights, licence plate holder, and trunk handle are exactly the same as on a P15 Plymouth and the brake light lens and bezel are the same but have Dodge on them instead of Plymuoth, but the location is the same. Hope this helps. Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted September 19, 2010 Report Posted September 19, 2010 your original holes are probably visible through the trunk side..some of the mounting holes aligns with access hole on the inner panel..so based on this and the picture you should get a good idea where the originals were.. fedoragent Posted September 19, 2010 Author Report Posted September 19, 2010 Thanks folks! Bob, I have the diagram as well because I have the Streamliner. Has anyone pictures of the UNDER side of the hood? Thanks again folks! Jon Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted September 20, 2010 Report Posted September 20, 2010 Jon.....underside of the hood. There are places in the center crease/seam where tabs come thru to hold on the hood center trim stainless. Hopefully you can see them from the underside. They are straight until you push them thru the hood, then bend them over to secure them. Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted September 20, 2010 Report Posted September 20, 2010 Hood ornament is attached with bolts. The wires are for my light bulbs inside the plastic part. Then, you see a small bolt head at lower left corner of the hood. There are 3 small bolts that hold that V-shaped piece with ship picture to the end of the hood.....two on the bottom part of it, and a third up toward the top. Quote
