jd52cranbrook Posted May 19, 2010 Report Posted May 19, 2010 Went to a picnic for the Inliners International Club last Saturday up by Oroville, CA. Great time Got to meet Earl Edgerton, talked about a head issue with mine. Anyway, got to see his latest project. A OHV flattie. Took out the valves, put in push rods and used SBC valve train. Pretty cool. This was it's maiden voyage. He has a partner in CO who has the other of the pair with many miles on it with no problem. I have a vid of it running will post when I get more time and can figure it out, lol.. Quote

Very cool engine, but big bucks also. Is he going to try and break his Mopar flat head record at Bonneville this summer..........Fred Quote

jd52cranbrook Posted May 19, 2010 Author Report Posted May 19, 2010 On that same road as the bridge in Cherokee, we came across a guy who apparently restores trailers. Found some very nice ones, not the airstream but the others, that my car would pull. Id like to have one. Quote
blueskies Posted May 19, 2010 Report Posted May 19, 2010 Well heck, guess I'm old news, sorry bout that. Didn't mean to imply that you were old news... I've been wanting to see Earl's engine so I'm happy you posted. Pete Quote

Looks like you had a terrific time. Suprised to see V-8 engines at a flatlinners convention? I think there were two, they begged and pleaded to be allowed in.... Inliners,,,,,, Inliners,,, Do you noramlly drive around hoodless? yeah I do. Seems like as soon as I put the hood back on, I have to go under the hood in relatively short time. It's so much easier to get to things, plus Kathleen likes the look, I kinda do too. Edited May 19, 2010 by jd52cranbrook Quote
