the sockets are "snap-in" style hats that are easy to remove..however at times it can be a task due to possible big hands and small access areas..

usually the light switch is removed by taking the knob off the stem, unscrewing the decorative bezel from the switch and extracting the switch from the rear of the panel..

On a 50 DeSota, it's pretty tough just to get up in there-kinda like a 50 Chrysler.
