55 Fargo Posted April 9, 2010 Report Posted April 9, 2010 Hi, does anyone know what air filter might go on the carb top bracket. I pulled this off a Carter B&B carb. It looks like something a paper air filter might go onto. I amy adapt this for my car, and keep the oil bath filter for shows, or whathever...............fred Quote
RobertKB Posted April 9, 2010 Report Posted April 9, 2010 That could be from a later model Mopar as the oil filters got a lot thinner as time went on. The one on my '53 is a lot shorter than the one on the '48. Quote
greg g Posted April 9, 2010 Report Posted April 9, 2010 It look like an adapter for the Mopar style inlet which would allow the use of a later style round paper element filter. Quote
55 Fargo Posted April 9, 2010 Author Report Posted April 9, 2010 I wonder if some type of disposable filter and housing could be made to mount onto this. I wonder, what this filter would have looked like.............Fred Quote

greg g Posted April 10, 2010 Report Posted April 10, 2010 Looks like just the ticket for mounting a slant 6 type air cleaner. This was id'ed as coming from a Baracuda /6. Quote
55 Fargo Posted April 10, 2010 Author Report Posted April 10, 2010 Thanx Greg, that may work...... Quote
