1940plymouth Posted March 5, 2010 Report Posted March 5, 2010 Is the spiral bridge still in existance? Quote
Young Ed Posted March 5, 2010 Author Report Posted March 5, 2010 I dont think so. I went to hastings for a car show last summer and dont recall driving on it unless I took a different highway into town Quote
Don Coatney Posted March 5, 2010 Report Posted March 5, 2010 So on my visit you took me out for pizza not fresh fish? Quote
P-12 Tommy Posted March 6, 2010 Report Posted March 6, 2010 Cool film. The second car at the beginning was a '41 Plymouth. A year old car and I noticed it was burning oil already. Tom Quote
Young Ed Posted March 6, 2010 Author Report Posted March 6, 2010 Don I think you came out of season Quote
Dennis_MN Posted March 6, 2010 Report Posted March 6, 2010 Is the spiral bridge still in existance? Nope, that was torn down in the 60's when the new bridge was constructed. The end of the bridge is about a block out of the way when you want to go on US61 That was a neat film, thanks for posting Quote
Young Ed Posted March 6, 2010 Author Report Posted March 6, 2010 Dennis is that why the highway kinda goes into town a couple blocks Quote
Dennis_MN Posted March 6, 2010 Report Posted March 6, 2010 Dennis is that why the highway kinda goes into town a couple blocks Yep, that original sprial dropped the end to line up with the town main street and highway 61 but once they removed that, they needed a little more run way so it extended past the original end. BeBop138 Posted March 8, 2010 Report Posted March 8, 2010 Don I think you came out of season Ed, we could take Don out to Jensen`s supper club in Eagan for Minnesota Walleye. They prepare it two different ways and it`s very good----if he will come back, ya up to Don? Quote
Young Ed Posted March 8, 2010 Author Report Posted March 8, 2010 I live here and I've never been there. This weekend my future in-laws were here from S dakota and went to Ikea by the mall of america and I haven't been there either Quote

My Wife just bought 10 lbs of fresh caught fillets from Lake Winnipeg, 10 miles from where we live. I had a fry of it already, and man is it good...... Quote
