Folks,

Thought I could avoid it but it looks as though Pigiron is going on the block. I have almost $8000 into it (I have receipts for around $5000) and figure I should be able to get $2000 without much trouble. Needs paint and some wiring but put a battery in it and it will start right up. Strong engine, OD tranny (not wired in but I have the WPC booklets that show how) and can use some other stuff but I'm not asking five times what it's worth.

What you think, should I try locally or go ebay? I'm new to selling but need to do it fast.

Folks,

I have lots of pictures of the car but the last six or eight times I have tried to post any haven't been successful in the least.

I'm on my way to the VA hospital again in the morning to let them know that with the four surgeries last year, quitting smoking, doing all their exercises, and taking all their pills hasn't ceased the cardio-vascular problems in my legs so it's doubtful that I'll be able to use a clutch pedal much longer anyway. May as well sell it before it rusts into nothing, although it doesn't have any deep rust right now. I'll try to post some pictures when I get back, then once it's gone I only need to finish and sell the '67 Bug because my father-in-law won't allow more than one car for each of us on the property. Use the Ford van for moving then sell it, and I should have enough left over to buy materials to make a hot tub, and I can still drive a hot tub.

I might add that I'm not looking for sympathy regardless of how this sounds; I have a loving wife and otherwise good health and I might even take the time to get back into flying my RC aircraft and re-learning to play my guitar.

Randy, i assume you are going to want to get as much as possible to help out with the finances, so i think i put it on ebay, you are more likely to get more money out of it that way. set a reserve and let the bidding go where it may. But maybe someone here might step up and buy it from you and save you the hassle! If you decide to put it on ebay and need a hand let me know. If you need help posting the pics on here i will be glad to help you.

Sorry to hear you're parting ways with the Plymouth. I'd blitz every Craigslist within 150 miles of your home town. Also, we have Cablevision and they allow subscribers one free car ad per year on their 'Optimum Autos' site. You may want to see if something similar exists in your area. Free advertising is better than paid advertising.

Randy;

Sorry to hear you car has to go. But I fully understand you have to do what you have to do.

If you want to sell it quickly stick it on the bay. Also post it in the cars for sale section of this site as well as your local Craigslist etc.

When are you moving? Lisa and I still plan on spending a week in Denver in April.

Randy-

Sorry to read that Pigiron is looking for a new home. I always figured you get her back on the road. Of course, I expected to be in Colorado for more than one year too.
