DollyDodge Posted February 22, 2010 Report Posted February 22, 2010 Anyone know where I can get the clipped head bolts that mount the brake support to the rear axle housing (one of mine is stripped). Quote

DollyDodge Posted March 3, 2010 Author Report Posted March 3, 2010 I have attached a picture of the bolt I want. It is 3/8" diameter, 1 1/8" long, and has fine threads Quote
48Dodger Posted March 3, 2010 Report Posted March 3, 2010 OK...now I know what I'm looking for. I'll get backed to you asap. 48D Quote
aero3113 Posted March 6, 2010 Report Posted March 6, 2010 Can you make your own by grinding the head of a bolt with the correct thread? Quote
DollyDodge Posted March 7, 2010 Author Report Posted March 7, 2010 Regarding grinding a bolt, that is what I am using now, but it seems to me that the shoulder on the clipped bolt must be just a bit larger becasue the clipped head bolts seems to fit tighter in the axle housing that just a regular threaded bolt. Besides, I want all the heads to look the same and original if possible:) Quote
Young Ed Posted March 8, 2010 Report Posted March 8, 2010 I'm sure I can get you a proper bolt once it gets a little warmer and I get back into the parts supply Quote
DollyDodge Posted March 8, 2010 Author Report Posted March 8, 2010 I appreciate your efforts. Spring is starting to arrive here locally, I am ready for the warm weather. Quote
