I was just down at the local Auto Zone and they were selling these little plastic snow shovels like they were going out of style. Too bad it couldn't happen in the middle of the week. Its sunny and in the low 40s at the moment but I know we're gonna get hit.

I can't get enough of the snow here now. I was at the garage early this morning and could not get to the doors. I looked around and there is still snow left over from the last storm. The wife had me go do the shopping this morning and I had such fun telling the chicks that I hope we get 40 inches.:) I got my motor work done last month so " Jimmy crack corn and I don't care".

The good part of this is I have not bought any gas in about 3 weeks. The truck has not moved in two weeks. I have my dear wife driving me around because she has the new car. I am saving alot and looking out the window. I normally get very ancy about this time of year. I got books to read and dreams to remember:D

According to some forecasts, the line between 'heavy' and 'moderate' snow accumulation in NJ will be around Route 33...which we're about 2 miles from.

I just got back from gassing one of our cars and, of course, filling the gas can for the snow blower. Every other car in the gas station had a little red can to fill as well.

I am beow Rte 33 so we are looking at 2 feet right now. I moved from North Jersey to the shore to get away from the snow!!!! Not sure which is worse: the shoveling or hauling the kids around for sleigh rides. Remember no hills down here so good OLD dad gets to play mule....:( Since the Massey is back moving I think the kids can pulled by her and NOT me.

Anybody want extra snow they can HAVE it.

Free snow! Can you arrange delivery?

The Vancouver Winter Olympic's are almost ready to start, but no snow on the local ski hills. All they need now is winter to start. 13 C yesterday, warm and sunny.

I read that, no snow for the games:p Now let's see how can I make money off of this? snow cones, sled rides. Oh No, I just looked out the door and it just now started to snow:mad: Hey Joe, I got two episodes of "My Mother the car":D Gerry refferty playing baker street I will survive;)

Oh my this is not good, not good at all:mad: snow everwhere. I can't see the cars. There is no traffic on my block. It's still snowing:D My collection of "my favorite martian" somehow will not load into the dvd. The ring dings I bought at the store are not fresh. I will have to bake a cake. On a good note I am not getting calls from my friends this morning to help them with their projects. All in all it's a good day:confused:I guess

I'm going to go out and take some pictures and post them here a bit later. Now they're calling for somewhere around 30 inches.

We canceled our cable subscription once my daughters went off to college. I couldn't see paying for the crap they have on TV. Right now I kind of miss it.

Let's see I have already had to shovel a path for the dog. Still coming down and they say alot more coming. I moved to the shore to get away from the snow. Good notes: lots of dvds, cakes and coffee. The main problem is that the kids are stuck in the house, though that does help give me drive to shovel. ;) Well getting ready for the next round of shoveling:eek:

30 inchs of snow Joe, we may get 4 to 6 here, and I think that's bad enough. You guys on the Atlantic side of things sure get hammered in winter at times, the thing I wanna know is where the hill is Paughsataunee Phil, the little Varmit. Hey Manitoba Merv said it would be an early spring here on Feb 02, but early spring here is always 6 weeks later in mid March...........LOL

Punxatawney Phil has been around for so long he's senile. He doesn't know whether it's Winter, Spring, Summer, or Fall. Last time they went in to fetch him out of his hole, he said, "I've fallen and I can't get up!" I think they need a new groundhog.

This kind of snow is extremely rare in the Mid Atlantic states. Probably not all that out of the ordinary for some of you guys, so we shouldn't complain.

To be honest Joe, it's cold up here in Winter, but that amount of snowfall would be rare in 1 shot for Manitoba. Bad snowstorms here will bring 6 to 8 inchs at a time, but usually with wicked winds. The trouble is up here when snow falls it does not melt away again, unless it is fall or spring snows. That is why it accumulates to greater depths, but good thing, as it is very cold here at times, the snow acts as an insulator, good for water pipes, septic tanks and fields, and hibernating critturs, as well snow banked up around the house foundation, helps retain heat inside.

It's 11 AM and we have about 10 inches in Freehold. Supposed to keep snowing until late afternoon. My daughter goes to college in Western New York and so far her winter has been better than ours.

:cool:I'd like to take that ground hog and BBQ that thang with some good sauce. Good for something after all.

tell me Rodney..have you really ever eaten a groundhog? you will need somthing beside sauce..thinking maybe a bag of cat litter for to soak up the grease...as a kid my friend and I bagged a huge ground hog..skinned the varmint..I carried my half home..mom refused to cook it..my next door neighbor did indeed fix it up..I did eat some..that is about all I recall...can't say good or bad...too many years ago..
