aero3113 Posted January 21, 2010 Report Posted January 21, 2010 Anyone ever use this radiator in their car? Would like to know in case I ever need to replace my stock one. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=200429987691&category=33602&_trksid=p4340.m263&_trkparms=algo%3DSI%26its%3DI%252BC%26itu%3DUCI%26otn%3D10%26ps%3D63 Quote
RobertKB Posted January 21, 2010 Report Posted January 21, 2010 I haven't used them but the radiator looks very nice and the price is not unreasonable. If you take you old one in for a recore, it will cost more than that. Probably designed for hotrods with V8's but would certainly cool an old flattie. Outlets seem in the right places, too. Thanks for posting the link. Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted January 21, 2010 Report Posted January 21, 2010 I have not used this particular unit..most time I go aluminum radiator it is with a forward mount of the radiator support. This unit appears to be a nice setp as it also has the mounting flanges on the sides..not common on generic units..I think you will do fine with it in your car.. Quote
Don Coatney Posted January 21, 2010 Report Posted January 21, 2010 (edited) I see they also sell a 16" electric cooling fan for fifty bucks plus ten bucks shipping. I believe I paid around eighty bucks for my fan from JC Whitney several years back. They list radiators for many older cars back to 1949. I did not see anything older than that but I did not look at all there listings. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/16-inch-2500cfm-Electric-Fan-With-Core-Mounting-Kit_W0QQitemZ200363124615QQcmdZViewItemQQptZMotors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories?hash=item2ea692a787 Edited January 21, 2010 by Don Coatney Quote
