Czechrod
I found this "Y" adaptor from vintage speed. and was wondering if anyone has used one? Pro's/Con's if any? and if so what carbs, linkage setup etc. etc. any help would be great, i have a '50 4 door plymouth with stock 6 cyl. want to dress up the motor a little bit and am curious if this setup would ad a little umph to the ol girl or just end up looking cool with no end results. Thanks!
greg g
You should probably post this on the general forum as you might get a bit of a better audience there. The adapter is for mounting 2 Ford type Holly 94 or 97 2bbl carbs, as evidenced by the three holes for mounting studs. One would have to wonder about their effectivness, as they are still goint to be sucking air through the single barrel hole in the istock intake. Have to think you would end up overcarburetted at anything but wide open throttle.
Plymouthy Adams
I would be a bit leary of the added height in relationship to the mounted carbs and air cleaners..
