BobT-47P15 Posted January 7, 2010 Report Posted January 7, 2010 Was looking at some "for sale" ads and saw this. One man's idea of how to stow your bumper jack and it's component parts. Just putting it out here as information that might be helpful. Click on link for a picture: http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=695522&d=1246303323 Quote
Young Ed Posted January 7, 2010 Report Posted January 7, 2010 The later cars actually have a built in system behind the spare for storing the jack. There is a little hook in the floor for the base and a cradle for the other end. Then you tighten the jack against a spring to hold it in place. My P15 has a canvas pouch that holes the jack and its parts. Quote
Frank Elder Posted January 7, 2010 Report Posted January 7, 2010 I wish any of my d24's had come with the jack & pouch...to me the logical place would be behind the spare tire, so it wouldn't get covered up on a trip. Dang that's a primo trunk mat! Quote
Bill Ford Posted January 8, 2010 Report Posted January 8, 2010 Where did the trunk mat come from? I need one and cannot find any one who has them. I store my jack and lug wrench about the same way. Did the P-15 come with a bag or does anyone know how the jack was stored? Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted January 8, 2010 Author Report Posted January 8, 2010 From things I've seen earlier, it seems the jack came new in a box lying in the trunk. Don't know anything about a canvas pouch....like Ed has. Have never seen that listed. They did make a tool roll from canvas material that was an option you could order. I would think a person could make his own jack bag if desired. Quote
maurice wade Posted January 8, 2010 Report Posted January 8, 2010 The 47 P15 I now drive came with the jack and accessories in a box. The box is cross ways behind the rear seat in the trunk. Quote
