Limo bodies I would guess. Not sure year or which Chrysler brand but could be Desoto as they actually built quite a few limousines. Friend of mine has an early '50's one here.

The Mopar bodies were used by Dodge, DeSoto and Chrysler. That basic body was used for 8-passenger sedans, 9-passener Suburban (DeSoto), New York taxi (DeSoto) as well as limousines. They appear to be 1949-52 models.

They are either Chrysler or DeSoto bodies as Dodge bodies were built in the same complex as the assembly plant. Chrysler bodies were built at the Kercheval Avenue body plant a couple of blocks from the Jefferson Avenue plant while DeSoto bodies were built at the Warren Avenue plant (former Graham plant) and trucked to the Wyoming Avenue assembly plant.

Not sure where Hudson bodies were built, although Murray Body was involved. The Hudson assembly plant was on Jefferson Avenue right across the street from the Chrysler plant.

Interesting detail; The Mopar bodies seem to be complete with glass, bright trim and even door handles, while Hudson bodies are plain sheet metal. Different kind of process on the assembly lines, also different spec for body builders.

Thanks for sharing interesting photos.
