Hi, I am going to put a new, inexpensive, tire on my spare tire rim; so I can place the spare tire in the spare tire well. Currently, I have an wide, non air holding, radial on the rim and have to lay it flat in the trunk, instead of it being in the wheel well. What width of tire will fit into the well on a 15 inch rim? Thanks.

My radial spare fits in the well on my coupe. I think its a 205 75 15.

Charles I put radials on my old Dodge and I got my set down at our local wrecking yard. If its only for a spare than I would go either to a used tire place or a wrecking yard. I paid for a full set of radials 70 dollars and that was four!

Just yesterday I took oft the radials and put back on my bias-ply as I like the 40's look better! Nice and skinny and tall. Now to see what the ride is going to be like but like I said before I want my car to look like a 1940's car and the tires really make a difference in that department.
