The wife's stock horn gave up the ghost today, and of course I got the LOOK, as if it happened on purpose! So when she ran over to our daughter's for a while, I looked under the hood, could not find the horn so I called the local chivvy service department and they said it is inside the driver's side fender.

Tester in hand, I loosened up the lug nuts on the tire, jacked up the front end and procceded to remove the tire and wheel well liner. Then I tested the connections with the help of my grandson Chavito[He is 4] beating on the steering wheel..all wires good. The horn was toast.

So the horn was replaced and all is well, right?

Momma goes out to try the horn when she comes home and just about threw me in the dog house for all our efforts!

It seems somebody told her it was just a bad fuse when all along the stocker was replaced with one of my extra D24 horns, fits in the same space by the way, and it was a little LOUDER than she was expecting!:D:D:D

Oh well...cold shoulder and beanie wienies for me tonight, did I forget to mention it was LOUD!:D

Tim, is that spare room still open?:)

I have always thought it would be fun to install some old style, loud horns on a

late model vehicle. And see people's reaction. "Beep, Beep, My A**"

These are a pair of 48 P-15 horns on a 97 Buick LeSabre. They've been here since 98. There is a relay that gets its signal from the oem horns, which really can't be heard anymore.

Loud? Well, of course they are, don't be ridiculous. I'm pretty sure theres no room for a pair on a Cobalt, though.

There's not much room for anything under the hood of a Cobalt, not even your hands. Looked at one when they first came out. That's one tight engine compartment, they even had to put the battery in the trunk. That's when I lost interest in them, after seeing that.

The only way to put a pair of them in is to put the other horn in the passenger side fender like I did on the drivers side with the first horn, remember Niel your horns are straight and the dodge horns have a 90 in them.:)

Frankie, I think you are I may be distant relations. I can imagine my son telling this same story. In fact, we were just today discussing horn options for his wife's VW project. He was leaning towards a 150 db horn he took off his sickle, while I was thinking of one that played tunes...

Yes, it's truly amazing that she is still with me after 30 odd years...I hope you realize we have horn fixation and it will only get worse as we age.:D
