Chester Brzostowski Posted February 1, 2007 Report Posted February 1, 2007 I thought that someone on this fourm might be interested. See link below: http://forums.aaca.org/showflat.php?Cat=0&Number=440488&an=0&page=0#Post440488 4 - Sale Don't know the Guy, but I like the truck. Unfortunately I have too much going on right now. Young Ed Posted February 1, 2007 Report Posted February 1, 2007 Man I'd love to have that! Why is stuff always so far away? Tim Adams coming to MN anytime soon? BTW thats a 40 ply pickup Quote
Dennis_MN Posted February 2, 2007 Report Posted February 2, 2007 Ed, you planning on using it for "yard art?" I think perhaps Minnesota definitions of art and junk would be called into question. The guy selling it in Georgia said that he bought it for "yard art" but it was too good for that. I may have a picture someplace but a couple of summers ago I was in Babbitt, MN for a Old Goldwing meet and there was a '57 Chev convertible being used for a flower planter in front of someones house. Young Ed Posted February 2, 2007 Report Posted February 2, 2007 Heck no. That truck would be put back on the road. I've got almost enough parts to just start building my own 40 plymouth but there is some stuff missing like a restorable nose stainless. Here part of my 40 Quote
Young Ed Posted February 7, 2007 Report Posted February 7, 2007 I was chatting back and forth a little with the owner of this truck. Then I stopped hearing from him. I found out why http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=020&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&viewitem=&item=300077787425&rd=1,1 Sitting at 1000 reserve not met. Looks like he thinks its made of gold.... Quote
Young Ed Posted February 12, 2007 Report Posted February 12, 2007 Well the truck ended at 1800.00 reserve not met. I would think 1800 would be PLENTY to pay for a truck needing that much work. Quote
Merle Coggins Posted February 12, 2007 Report Posted February 12, 2007 He must have spent too much time watching the Barret-Jackson auction lately. He thinks he's sitting on a gold mine. I wouldn't give him more than $1000 for it, and I think that would be too much. Merle Quote
