Happyhewy Posted August 28, 2009 Report Posted August 28, 2009 Introducing myself.Just joined yesterday and want to say hello.I have a parts for sale ad, but that's not why I joined.Back in the day, way back, I owned and drove a 1947 P15 Club Coupe and drove it from Calif to Texas and back after being discharged from the Air Force.Pulled a small uhaul trailer with our worldly belongings and a new baby boy in the back seat snuggled up in a card board box with soft blankets to keep him warm. I guess it was a child seat of the time:o, and a case of oil to feed the Plymouth. I now have another flat head six this time contained in a 1956 Dodge D100 . Hope you all don't mind me being here ,but can't find another suitable site. Not that this site is second choice by any means. I have been looking in here for several years. Hoping I can ask for info as I go along and get the 56 back on the road. Quote
Don Coatney Posted August 28, 2009 Report Posted August 28, 2009 Happyhuey; Glad you are happy and welcome aboard. Where are you located? My dad placed warm bricks in the back floor of his 1937 packard and wrapped my sister and I up in newspaper to keep warm in the late 40's. My whole life might be totally different if I had been buckled into an as of yet uninvented car seat:eek: Quote
BeBop138 Posted August 28, 2009 Report Posted August 28, 2009 Happyhuey, welcome and you are in the right place-----good people and lotsa info---just ask............Lee Quote
Reg Evans Posted August 28, 2009 Report Posted August 28, 2009 Welcome aboard Happy. There is another half of this board that caters to 48-53 Dodge trucks. Either board will have lots of fellas with flat 6 knowledge to help out. You can access the truck side if you go up to the top of this page and click on "Return to Pilot House.com" Quote

RobertKB Posted August 28, 2009 Report Posted August 28, 2009 Welcome to the best forum on the WWW. If you can't get an answer to a question on this forum, there is no answer. The guys here are freindly, knowledgeable, and willing to share that knowledge. Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted August 28, 2009 Report Posted August 28, 2009 Yep.......welcome......you can bounce back and forth between the car forum or the truck forum.......no problem. Various guys mix and match from time to time. You should consider going back to your "User C P" (control panel) and listing in either the upper right corner - or in a signature line at lower left corner.....your location (city, state) and which vehicle you own. (which as you just said is a Dodge P U).........so we can remember later what sorta vehicle you will be asking questions about. Just speaking for myself, of course, I can't quite remember everybody and their rides. So, join in and have some fun. Quote
