Rodney Bullock
I was playing with my Plymouth today and noticed some "funny marks" on my rear fender. I think I might have to wet sand and buff my rear:rolleyes:to get it back to normal. My question to the forum is how many times can I wet sand and buff a panel with 2000 grit and buff it with some compound 3000? I don't want to break though however I want this spot gone:(everytime I get gas I see it. Oh well. what to do.....right:rolleyes:
greg g
Depends on how thick your paint is. Can't remember if that was a clearcoat deal. If your guy did two good wet coats of clear, you are probably pretty safe with the 2000 wet and some compound. Just don't get all Rambo with the buffers. Seen more paint ruied with the buffer than with the 2000 grit. Good thing is the fender is removeable and could be painted again if your fix doesn't work to your satisfaction. Are you coming to the Wetminster show in Sept??? Haven't heard from you or chet yet.

james curl
Rodney, I had a Brazilian teach me Tia Chi while he was removing the outside paint on two sides of my house. He turned forty this spring and he can still stand on one leg with the other leg straight up and talk to me and the other fellow who took Tia Chi with me. He is like a monkey, will climb anything except a ladder, climbed the trees to get up on the porch roofs to scrape the gables. He can still squat all the way down, extend one leg out in front of him and stand up with the leg still straight out. The ladies all loved to watch him work out. He loved the ladies and they loved him. He was the Brazilian national Kung Fu champion when he was younger. Have a happy 50th.

I never did take Tai chi, I did take Tai chi Chun in the early 70's It's the fighting version of that art. I was taught by a Wu-Shu master. I think it was all those non- sanction fights I had in the 80's that hurt my health. I did some things that were truly testing with Bondo and thai boxers. They were strong and well developed. I was young however not as developed. I was so fast I could get away with almost anything...then:D

desoto1939
Hey 50 is not old i am 58 and stil play volleyball at leat two nights a week. I went to college in Westminster Maryland at western maryland college, grauated in 1973. It is now called McDanial college. This is nice small college town. I would come but have a 39 DeSoto so I do not think the POC guys would want a stray Mopar car at their event. Hope you have a great time and great weather. Does any one out their know what NFL team held their summer camp at the collge prior to moving out out the city. The raven now hold their camp at the college. I will give you a hint the color are blue and wihite and Johnny U was their quarterback. Yes the Baltimore Colts not the Indiannoplis Colts. Don Coatney
I would come but have a 39 DeSoto so I do not think the POC guys would want a stray Mopar car at their event. Not true. If you can get there go as you will be welcome and have a lot of fun. I am not a POC spoksperson in any way shape or form but here are a couple shots from last summer in Detroit. Any old Mopar or there cousins by marriage were welcome. A car originally built by neighbor Ransom E also showed up but I failed to get a picture of it. The staunch POC members paid a lot more attention to us POCOC members modified cars than they did to the pure stockers. That is why we need Young Ed and his first born Younger Ed to liberize (I think I just invented a word) the POC.
greg g
Indeed as Don said you can't have your car judged, but at Detroit they has a sectioin of the lot for display cars. And I'm sure they would not prevent you from going on the driving tours along with the Plymouths. As as mentioned the Forum participants Tailgate deal on Friday evening is come as you are and byob and a contribution to the victuals. Besides if you know Westminster, you can tell us where the non tourist good food is, for those of us who do not go to the awards banquet on Saturday after the show. Even if you don;t drive the Desoto you are encouraged to come on over.
