55 Fargo Posted August 19, 2009 Report Posted August 19, 2009 Hope we don't get twisted here by a twister in the Interlake District of Southern Manitoba Quote
RobertKB Posted August 19, 2009 Report Posted August 19, 2009 Stay safe, Fred and family! Remember, you only see a tornado once it touches the ground and has picked up dirt and debris. You don't want to be that debris!! If the sky looks really weird and dangerous, it probably is. Take care! Quote
55 Fargo Posted August 19, 2009 Author Report Posted August 19, 2009 Hi Robert, the sky looks very black dark and scary towward the southwest of me. I have seen twisters, not fun, something I don't want in my yard. The whole Winnipeg and area is under Tornado and Funnel Cloud watch right now. On the Weekend, the south end of Winnipeg had baseball size hail, I thought people were exaggerating, till I saw the hail chunks on the news, from a home video. Quote
Young Ed Posted August 20, 2009 Report Posted August 20, 2009 Fred hope you made it. We had to stand in the core of the building for a while this afternoon due to a twister in the metro too. Quote
55 Fargo Posted August 20, 2009 Author Report Posted August 20, 2009 Sounds like we were sharing the same weather system Ed, 400 or so miles is nothing as far as a band of bad weather. Hope all is well.....Fred Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted August 20, 2009 Report Posted August 20, 2009 We had tornado watches in our area of SE Kansas and SW Missouri till 4 am today. Otherwise, had quite a bit of rain and some wind. No tornado near here, however. Quote
