Cpt.Fred
this thingy is bolted to the left side of my trunk and the wires don't seem to go anywhere... it says WINKLITE on top of it. what is it? thanks, guys!
Frank Elder
One answer I got from google was a pensacola lumber company, lol...the most hits I got was for a camera co. that still makes flashes and strobes today. I see 2 wires and a ground point attatchment so I'm going to say an emergency flasher for the rear lites? Nothing but a guess Fred.
Cpt.Fred
that would be an interesting after market gadget then, right? never heard of it. i have some unexplanable switches under the dash... not connected, though. i wonder if it works? i am installing a complete selfmade signal unit including hazard tomorrow anyway, maybe i can find out some more. there was this other thingy in the glove box: goes by the same name like the heater on the right side, under the dash. i wonder how that is wired... you see, there are a lot of mysteries in my car for me:D
greg g
Perhaps one of your cars previous owners accesorized you car with this popular rear package shelf item. I suppose it was the precursor for the highmount stop lights. Several colors and species were available.
