greg g
I just put 8 qts of fluid in my dry transmission (capacity 11 or 13 qts depending on where I look) in preperation to some test firing and idling 10 to 15 min. Will the 8 qts be enough to keep the trans happy if it's in park and just idleing or reving briefly? I assume 3 qts will go to fill the TC leaving 5 to circulate throughthe trans and cooler. kencombs
It will be ok. That much fluid will lube it, but not be adequate to apply clutches and bands. DON"T try to move it, as it may partially engage and slip a lot, not good for friction faces.
