greg g Posted July 19, 2009 Report Posted July 19, 2009 (edited) I bought a red indicator light to wire into my alterator tickle wire (the one that excites the charge and then has it lamp in line that lights up if the alt grounds (as in bad alternator) It will also function as a resistor to prevent backfeeding the system. But it has real thin wires, about 20/24? gauge. Its 12v and the chart says between 3.5 to 7amps max load. Anybody running a 3 wire alt with a similar situation. Edited July 19, 2009 by greg g Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted July 20, 2009 Report Posted July 20, 2009 http://www.gadgetjq.com/wiring_size_guide.htm 24 would be minimum at 3.5 amps and the 20 would conduct 11 Quote
