Dennis_MN Posted June 18, 2009 Report Posted June 18, 2009 (edited) Merle, Now that the US has converted to digital TV, I'm wondering how your new TV peforms? Did it have a digital tuner or did you need to purchase a converter box? I suspect they gave it away because it wasn't modern enough. Dennis Edited June 18, 2009 by Dennis_MN Spelling of course Quote
coW52Dodge Posted June 18, 2009 Report Posted June 18, 2009 I think all newer TVs (certainly the last couple of years) that are sold are supposed to have a digital tuner built into them. Regardless, you can't look a given horse in the mouth. Quote
Bob_Koch Posted June 18, 2009 Report Posted June 18, 2009 Are the commercials any better in digital? Quote
TodFitch Posted June 18, 2009 Report Posted June 18, 2009 Are the commercials any better in digital? There doesn't seem to be any commercials on http://www.academicearth.org/ but the video quality is not as high as I'd like. Yale instructors seem to be more entertaining than the Stanford ones. Oh, you mean commercial TV. Gee we have been watching most of our programs over the Internet recently. I'd almost forgotten about broadcast stuff. Didn't that go out of fashion with carburetor equipped cars? Quote
Dennis_MN Posted June 18, 2009 Author Report Posted June 18, 2009 Opps, I forgot that Merle has cable. Looks like I'm the only cheapskate out here without cable or sat service. Dang, and I also like driving my Non-syncro tranny in the old Dodge Dennis Quote
Merle Coggins Posted June 19, 2009 Report Posted June 19, 2009 Still working good with my DirecTV. This sucker is BIG. Quote
