Hi again, Just for fun, I went on Craigs List for Denver and found a complete 1947 P15 4 door for $3500; might just need points to run and it has virtually all of the parts and trim. Before you get too far into spending lots of money on your stripped buy, consider this one, which is pretty nice looking. It is in Greely CO, on Craigs List for Denver

OMG!!! There is an absolutely Cherry 1948 resto rod 4 door, stock looking with header, dual exhausts, 2 carbs, front disc brakes, new paint and chrome asking price $7800 in Prescott AZ. If I had the money, I would buy it yesterday. It is on Craigs List under Phoenix.

According to the serial numbers both engines are from P15's and would be the right engines for your car. Congratulations on hitting the mother lode.

can any one tell me what size these motors are

i do not see the Serial numbers any where PI*I03023I or PI5*789542* that tells me what size it is

TOM

The P15 in the serial numbers tell you that the engines are P15 engines. The P15 engine was a 218. However, if the engine has been modified using the crank and connecting rods from a 230, it could be a 230 but it would not have come that way out of the factory.

dose anyone have and books they want to sell on the motor or the car i ca buy

TOM

The service manuals and parts books are regularly available on eBay. Just don't end up paying too much for a reproduction manual believing that it is an original.

i think i know what happened but not sure that spark plug was not in it so i think it got water in it and froze and broke it the others do not look to be that bad no rust on them going to stripe the rest of it later
