Frank Elder Posted June 6, 2009 Report Posted June 6, 2009 Never thought I would see the word plymouth painted on a motorcycle gas tank! I wonder how fast he went? Quote
RobertKB Posted June 6, 2009 Report Posted June 6, 2009 (edited) He had to be one crazy b+**+^. Actually, pretty fast. http://www.allpar.com/history/plymouth/motorcycle.html Edited June 6, 2009 by RobertKB Quote
Frank Elder Posted June 7, 2009 Author Report Posted June 7, 2009 This one looks faster. The sign behind him appears to read Blatz....that explains a lot! Quote
Fireball Posted June 7, 2009 Report Posted June 7, 2009 Now these are some MOTORcycles, scary stuff. Quote
Frank Blackstone Posted June 8, 2009 Report Posted June 8, 2009 I judge it to be the best use of a radial engine. Local rumor in East end of Dayton, Ohio has it that the original Green Monster was a motorcycle with at least one P-15 engine. Even taller rumor was that 2 men died trying to ride it. Got to love old gearhead talk. Quote
woodscavenger Posted June 8, 2009 Report Posted June 8, 2009 Wow, cool cycles. What is the story behind the other B/W photo? The Joebody's Rocket looks scary because of the driver!! The radial engine looks awesome! Quote
realgonekatt Posted June 8, 2009 Report Posted June 8, 2009 check out this streamlined beut. ready for bonneville? Quote
randroid Posted June 8, 2009 Report Posted June 8, 2009 (edited) Gents, Just watched a 39 sec. video of the "radial+engine+motorcycle" (that's what I Googled to find it, just cut and paste with quotes) and if you ever want to hear an engine come to speed, this is the one. Because my Dad was a military pilot I got introduced to radial engines early in life but never heard one rev unfettered (without a prop). Wow! -Randy Edited June 8, 2009 by randroid Just 'cause.
